Revision is a convention, known as a demoparty, where demogroups released works of art consisting of music, graphics, animation, and text, on various different hardware architectures. It began in 2011 .
It was the continuation of demoparties that had come before it. Mekka & Symposium began in 1997, as the result of a merger between the previous year's Mekka and Symposium demoparties, and ran until 2002. It was succeeded by the Breakpoint demoparty, which ran from 2003 to 2010. The Revision demoparty followed that, and is still held yearly.
At the seventh annual Revision demoparty, which was held from April 14 to April 17 , 2017, Retroguru released their platformer, Hermes .
